New Mexican is the solo project of American folk rock musician Matt Hoffman.
The moniker derives from Hoffman’s
birthplace (Las Cruces, NM) and stomping ground of his youth—one filled with deserts, mountains, artist-musician grandparents, family-owned mom-and-pop music shops, musical (adobe) households, and a childhood sense of adventure and exploration in a physical world way bigger than we are.
